Breakout Sessions

SERFF
Kelly McCumber - NAIC SERFF Team

Kelly will be providing two SERFF breakout sessions for different SERFF experience levels. The first session is for the prospective SERFF user. Kelly will provide an overview of how to get licensed to use SERFF as well as a demonstration of how to create a filing. The second session will be geared to experienced SERFF users. This session will include "tips & tricks" on SERFF use as well as an overview of upcoming/recent releases.

This breakout will offer basic guidelines on conveying complex insurance information in a way that makes it easier to find, read, understand, and use.


FINRA's Variable Insurance Product Advertising Initiative

A detailed look at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) efforts to achieve understanding of variable product advertising principles. This session will also explore concerns within the insurance industry.

Practical approaches to improving communication and understanding between Compliance and Marketing.


Foreign Language Advertising - Hispanic
Jaime R. Carlo-Casellas, Ph.D., CC Scientific, Ltd.

This workshop addresses marketing and compliance issues associated with dissemination of forms translated into Spanish and the deployment of marketing advertising strategies appropriate for the U.S. Hispanic consumer.
